Steel Orca is a populist with a working knowledge of the deep end — a selector who treats bass house as a lingua franca rather than a ceiling. The recurring gags and the recurring dubstep drops are both load-bearing; neither wins.

The early mixes could read, at a glance, as festival-safe: recognizable hooks, a fondness for the obvious win. Sit with the sequencing and something more deliberate surfaces — patient melodic openings that earn their heavier back halves, sentimental pivots used as setups rather than payoffs, an ear for when a wink (that "Asereje" flip, an "MR. SANDMAN" sign-off) does more work than another drop. The crate is generous enough to hand off cleanly to SorryRoary for a night and still sound like the same room. Consistency, here, is the argument.
